Turkish Season in London

Turks: A Journey of a Thousand Years, 600-1600 co-incides with a programme of all things Turkish in London — from film, music and dance to food, fashion and literature.

In addition to the exhibition itself, visitors to the Royal Academy of Arts can participate in a wide range of special events ranging from lectures given by the leading experts from SOAS, Harvard and the British Museum; to music nights on Friday evenings featuring Turkish music; joint ticket and dining offers with Sofra, London’s leading Turkish restaurant group; workshops on Turkish tile painting run by the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts; special visits to the London Central Mosque and a Persian carpet-making factory as well as competitions to win trips to Istanbul.
